NEW DELHI, INDIA: After precursor agreement with FIH for 2010 World Cup, Hero Honda chief Pawan Munjal said his group could subsidize the countrywide hockey
Squad in expectations.
"It's promising. We will acquire an entitle in the future," said Munjal.
At the instant, the Sahara Group was skirmishing a officially authorized case with Hockey India over funding of the national team, a contract which was signed in 2003 with the KPS Gill-led Indian Hockey Federation.
Hero Honda is not latest competitor in the game. The corporation has a record of sponsoring the Nehru hockey Federation.
"This is World Cup our major involvement with the game. It gave us an opening to support the game in the country," Munjal said.
